Kate Hudson is feeling the love. In an adoring birthday tribute to the father of her unborn baby, Danny Fujikawa, the pregnant actress posted a throwback picture of the pair embraced in a kiss. The Almost Famous actress captioned the loved-up snap of the pair mid-hike with the hashtag “#loveofmylife”.

The happy couple revealed in April they are expecting their first child together — a baby girl — later this year. Kate and her musician beau discovered the sex of their baby with a ‘gender reveal’ celebration. The couple and Kate’s sons from previous relationships, all popped balloons exposing pink confetti. Kate, who already has two boys, was overjoyed to be having a baby girl. “We have been trying to keep this pregnancy under the radar for as long as possible but I’m a popping now!” Kate wrote in an announcement post on social media.

“And it’s too darn challenging to hide, and frankly hiding is more exhausting than just coming out with it! My kids, Danny, myself and the entire family are crazy excited! A little girl on the way.” Kate, 39 and Danny, 32, have been dating for over a year, but have been friends for over a decade. “We’ve known each other for 15 years; he’s my best friend’s stepbrother,” she said during a recent appearance on The Talk. “We kinda skipped through the part of knowing what the hiccups were. You kinda skip the part of going, ‘Oh, you’re like that?'”

The couple’s baby girl will be Kate’s third child and Danny’s first. Kate was married to American musician Chris Robinson from 2000-2007, they have one child together, a boy Ryder Robinson. In 2010, Kate met Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy and the pair were together for four years, during which they had a son together, Bingham Hawn Bellamy.

Speaking about her newest love, Danny, Kate says that while they’ve always known each other, the timing was never always right, as he was younger than her and they were both in different stages of their lives. “In terms of family, I’ve known his family forever,” she said. “To have that connection is really powerful.”
