“Good looking… and mysterious” were words chosen by Rachel Alejandro on her co-star Paulo Avelino, with whom she has recently worked with for the film Ang Larawan, which was chosen to be this year’s MMFF Best Picture last December 28th.

Asked by PEP.ph if her co-star was distracting as a leading man, Alejandro agrees.

“Yes… Kasi he’s ano, e, I mean, actually aside from the fact that, of course, he’s very good to look at, mysterious siya, e. Meron siyang ganung vibe.” (Because he’s… mysterious. He has that vibe.)

She also notes that it may be part of his appeal—that people don’t really know what he’s thinking and what he’s up to next.

Alejandro states, “Hindi ko ma-place, (I can’t say) I never know what he’s thinking and maybe that’s part of his appeal, a lot of people I think like him for that… And then when he’s onscreen, you know, he’s like larger than life!”

She also talks of Avelino as someone who is “quiet ‘tapos pagdating sa screen parang, ‘Wow!’” (but, on screen, he’s confident)

The actress also extends her gratitude to Avelino by taking part in such a project, which most actors nowadays tend to veer away from.
